MBS FM was appointed to complete the demolition of a woolshed and cottage for Downer Defence. Before commencing on-site work, MBS FM conducted a comprehensive photographic heritage recording to ensure the preservation of the buildings’ historical significance.

During the planning phase, asbestos was discovered and safely removed prior to mechanical demolition.

MBS FM’s dedication to preserving the heritage value of the site was paramount throughout the project. Adhering to the client’s request, MBS FM successfully retained all brick piers and the flywheel from the original buildings. Despite the woolshed’s structural instability, our skilled trade staff repaired the damaged piers, safeguarding the site’s heritage importance, and the flywheel has been carefully preserved on-site, awaiting future installation.
